In this special season, reminders of God’s special covenant with Israel surround us.
As Christians around the world prepare to celebrate the birth of Jesus next week, many pastors will be preaching from the pulpits about that miraculous birth and the events surrounding it.
As the story in the book of Luke recounts, we are once again reminded of the biblical evidence of Israel's rights to her ancient homeland. It’s a right that many so-called Christian leaders in Bethlehem and around the world refuse to recognize, choosing to ignore the documented evidence:
In Luke Chapter 1:5, it is written, "In the days of Herod, the king of Judea. . ."
Herod ruled over Judea, not the West Bank
In Luke 2:4, "Joseph also went up from Galilee, out of Nazareth, into Judea, to the city of David which is called Bethlehem. . ." into Judea, not the West Bank
Yet, even the prophet Micah in 5:2 foretold that this historic event would occur in Bethlehem Ephrathah in Judea.
As you’ve probably noticed, the power of the dollar isn’t what it used to be…
In this season of gift giving, how will you choose to spend your $1…?
- In Los Angeles—$1 will buy you 10 minutes of parking time on the meter while you shop.
- You can buy a $1 coffee at McDonald's to warm you up in the Midwest.
- One song can brighten your shopping rounds for $1 at iTunes.
- A downloadable book can be sent your way as a stocking stuffer for $1 from Kindle.
At PJTN, each $1 buys an important share in our global broadcast time.
Your $1 investment in Focus On Israel gives you a guaranteed portion of the blessing God promises in His word to “bless those that bless Israel.”
As seen by the successes we have had in 2018, PJTN is an organization for “a time such as this” – when the call to support Israel and the Jewish people against the rise of anti-Semitism both in America and around the world, has never been more desperately needed.
I am “at ground zero” today in Ohio to bring you the good news that the Ohio House of Representatives has today followed the Senate’s lead in passing HCR10 – it’s a landmark day for PJTN’s two year campaign to educate, advocate and raise awareness for this important piece of legislation which condemns the anti-Semitic BDS movement in the state of Ohio.
Working to create awareness in Ohio—as in the other 11 states that already passed similar legislation—has enabled PJTN to create a strong coalition of like-minded citizens and grassroots supporters who share our mission. We used the two years to educate Ohio and its citizens on the meaning of the essential goodness of Israel; the danger posed by the BDS Movement to the rights and safety of Ohio’s Jewish students and their Christian allies on campus; Overall, awareness was brought to the dangers posed by BDS to the continuation of free speech on campus – a threat if left unchecked poses the potential extinction of First Amendment rights.
In this the season of gift giving, do you know that if you shop at Amazon online, your every wrapped package could be a “gift” to PJTN?
AmazonSmile is a simple and automatic way to donate to PJTN every time you shop online, and at no cost to you. We are one of the family of 501(C) 3 charities who can be designated to receive a donation every time you shop at Amazon.
It’s as simple as accessing Amazon through their special charitable giving link at PJTN.org/amazon and designating “Proclaiming Justice To The Nations” as the charity you would like to support. The special “smile link” will take you to the same Amazon site you are familiar with and to the same wish list, wedding and baby registry and other account settings you are already using. It will cost you nothing and will benefit us greatly. The AmazonSmile Foundation will set aside 0.5% of all purchases specially earmarked through the “smile” link and if you list us as your charity of choice—Amazon will make a donation to PJTN made possible by you.
As last night marked in Jewish homes and gatherings around the world the joyful lighting of the first of the eight candles of the menorah, so we began the eight day celebration known as the “festival of lights.” It’s a cherished and honored time that yearly recalls God’s faithfulness to the Maccabees to work miracles in the preservation of His Chosen People.
The light of Chanukah, which means “dedication” in Hebrew, emanates from the successive ceremonial lighting of the candles of the menorah on each of the holiday’s eight nights. They are ignited as symbols of hope and in remembrance of miracles in a time of darkness. The menorah has eight main branches—plus the raised ninth lamp set apart as the “shamash” (servant) light which is used to kindle the other lights.

PJTN CELEBRATES OHIO MOVE TO CONDEMN BDS MOVEMENT WITH PASSAGE OF NEW BILL
(Nashville, Tennessee) –November 30, 2018 –Proclaiming Justice to The Nations (PJTN) founder and President Laurie Cardoza-Moore today acknowledged the action of the Ohio Senate in unanimously approving by a vote of 30-0, House Concurrent Resolution 10 (HCR 10), a resolution “To condemn the Boycott, Divestment, and Sanctions (BDS) movement and increasing incidents of anti-Semitism.” The resolution, as amended by a Senate committee, will now move back to the Ohio House for its concurrence with the amended version passed by the Senate. The House vote on concurrence will probably occur on Wednesday, December 5.
Ohio's HCR10-Anti-BDS resolution passed the Ohio Senate with overwhelming bi-partisan support yesterday!
Laurie and the leadership team of the Ohio Chapter will be meeting with the Senate President next week in Columbus to thank the Senate President for his leadership and to discuss PJTN's next Ohio State initiative, the Anti-Semitism Awareness Act.
Because of the rise in anti-Semitism and the anti-Semitic BDS movement on college campuses, the Ohio General Assembly has taken a major step in confronting the increasing threat and suppression of free speech on our university campuses in Ohio.
As you may recall, Ohio has been but one of 15 states that have been major “battlegrounds” in the very real war being waged against anti-Semitism.
Additionally, we’ve seen major wins over the past few months as our Texas PJTN delegation testified before the Texas State Board of Education on textbook content, the University of Michigan in shining the national spotlight on anti-Semitism on campus and recently the national attention that’s been brought to Airbnb’s decision to exclude Jewish/Israeli owned vacation rentals in Judea-Samaria, in their business globally. In fact, you can visit www.pjtn.org right now to sign our petition and let your voice be heard on the Airbnb controversy if you haven't done so already.
“Giving Tuesday” today is an important day at PJTN…
The anticipation and appreciation for all those who are considering the direction of their financial support to our ongoing work marks this day as a special highpoint of this season of the year as giving comes in to focus.
I am just off the air this morning with the Dove Network, having done a national interview that centered on our campaign against anti-Semitism. Ahead we have more major issues, more major media interviews, plans for another production Series of Focus On Israel programs, a new internship program to educate and empower young people to share our message, and development of our presentation at NRB 2019 that will be targeted to reach more than 6,000 Christian broadcasters and influencers for whom PJTN is a light of truth in the confusing world of “fake media.”
The direction of your giving dollars today will make a great difference.
We are small in numbers at PJTN, but big in dedication and commitment to our mission. If you haven’t already, please consider becoming a “PJTN Watchman” with your monthly donation of just $20. We cannot do it without your support!
Thank you for remembering PJTN today as your decisions for giving –both today and year-end—are being made. Every dollar will be appreciated and well utilized in “Igniting The Torch” for a new generation of support for Israel and our Jewish brethren.
Blessings and Shalom!
President/Proclaiming Justice to The Nations
