Popular Leftist Website: Only Date BDS Supporters.

Date_BDS_supporter.jpgFirst dates can be so awkward! What if you’re really into jazz and your date digs Phish? Or if you’re a vegan and your date dreams of Big Macs? Or if your date believes the Jewish state alone, out of all the world’s nations, ought to be singled out for sanctions, and you aren’t an anti-Semite?

According to a newly published column in Everyday Feminism, a super-popular progressive blog that enjoys more than 4.5 million visitors a month from 150 countries, support for BDS is essential if you’re hoping to impress the woke person sitting across from you at the gluten-free coffee shop into a second date.

Just as one must now cheer for sex work (it’s not a horrible, degrading, and exploitative line of work we should strive to curb, thunders the column’s author, Lara Witt, but a way of somehow sticking it to the patriarchy) and oppose Capitalism in all its filthy forms, having an irrational hatred of Israel is necessary to pass off as sexy with the smart set.

US VICE PRESIDENT MIKE PENCE DELAYS ISRAEL VISIT, SET TO ARRIVE WEDNESDAY

Pence_Delays_Trip_to_Israel.pngUS Vice President Mike Pence is delaying his visit to Israel due to tax reform issues in Congress, the Knesset confirmed to The Jerusalem Post Thursday. He is now scheduled to arrive in Israel on Wednesday, three days later than originally planned so that he can be in the US to participate if necessary in Senate votes on tax reform.

Rather than arriving on Sunday, Pence is now expected to fly in from Egypt on Wednesday evening.

He is scheduled to be welcomed Thursday by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu at his office, address the Knesset in a special Thursday session and then hold a meeting with Netanyahu in the evening at his residence. On Friday the vice president is expected to meet with President Reuven Rivlin, and visit Yad Vashem, before flying back to Washington.

Vancouver school apologizes to students for banning Hanukkah

Times_of_Israel.jpgSixth-grade girls Maya Sontz and Rebecca Weinberg spearhead -- and win -- fight for inclusivity in their Christmas-bedecked public school.

The Vancouver School Board has apologized to two Jewish 6th grade girls and their families after their principal prohibited them from bringing Hanukkah symbols into their public school — even though Christmas decorations already decked school halls.

Last week, Maya Sontz and Rebecca Weinberg and their parents turned to the media after the girls’ requests to set up a Hanukkah display alongside General Gordon Elementary‘s Christmas decorations were denied by the school’s administration. The principal, Hope Sterling, also refused to allow any Hanukkah songs to be sung in the school’s winter holidays concert.

Is the Middle East stable enough to let down our guard?

Arutz_Sheva.jpgNow that it seems that the Israeli-Palestinian peace process is again on the agenda, I am concerned that there will be undue pressure on Israel, as a follow-up to the evolution in US policies in reference to Jerusalem. But people who would like to see better times ahead, must do whatever they can to avoid relinquishing their freedom or part of it, for an uncertain future.

Even a superficial look into the dynamics in the Middle East will give the objective observer, a lot of reasons to be concerned.

We know that there are too many countries and entities with conflicting interests who are trying to establish paths toward establishing their own agendas in the region.

To Some Zionist Christians And Jews, The Bible Says Jerusalem Is Israel's Capital.

Jerusalem_New_Homeland.jpgThose Jews and evangelical Christians who say an undivided Jerusalem should be the eternal capital of Israel have a ready answer for anyone who questions that claim: The Bible says so.

The most often-cited text is 2 Chronicles 6:5-6, wherein King Solomon quotes God as saying, "Since the day that I brought my people out of the land of Egypt, I chose no city in all the tribes of Israel in which to build a house, that my name might be there, and I chose no man as prince over my people Israel; but I have chosen Jerusalem that my name may be there and I have chosen David to be over my people Israel."

The Bible could hardly be more clear, it would seem.

VIDEO: CRAZED MAN ATTACKS JEWISH RESTAURANT IN AMSTERDAM WHILE FLYING PALESTINIAN FLAG.

Man_break_kosher_restaurant_windows.jpgVideo footage from outside a kosher restaurant in the Jewish part of Amsterdam shows a crazed man with a Palestinian flag smashing his way inside the building before being arrested by police.

The clip shows a man wearing a Palestinian keffiyah, or shal, on his head, and brandishing a Palestinian flag. He smashes in the windows of the HaCarmel restaurant while screaming. Police watch on and initially do nothing.

After the man emerges from the restaurant with an Israeli flag, police finally tackle and arrest him.

Surprising new survey reveals a generational shift in Evangelical views toward Israel. Leaders form “Alliance For The Peace of Jerusalem” to educate the Church on God’s love for Israel & the Palestinians.

New_Survey.jpgThis morning at the National Press Club, several colleagues and I released a ground-breaking new survey on “American Evangelical Attitudes Towards Israel and the Peace Process.” Below, I’ve posted links to the survey, our analysis of the data, and articles that have already been published this morning.

I had the honor of joining Scott McConnell, Dr. Mitch Glaser, Dr. Darrell Bock, Bishop Harry Jackson, Rev. Tony Suarez, Larry Ross and Kristin Cole in presenting and analyzing the data.

We also announced the formation of a new organization — the Alliance for the Peace of Jerusalem — with 25 prominent Evangelical seminary professors, Bible scholars, authors and ministry leaders. More on that to come.

Anti-Semitic flyers posted on Princeton University campus. Flyers about 'Jewish privilege' posted after university Hillel cancels speech by Israeli Deputy FM.

anti-semitic_posters_at_princeton.jpgWhite supremacist flyers were posted on the Princeton University campus.

The flyers were discovered Monday at several locations on campus, the Daily Princetonian student newspaper reported.

One of the flyers was titled, “The Truth about ‘White Privilege’ and Jewish Supremacy.'”

The flyer was addressed to a person named Linda Oppenheim, whom the student newspaper identified as a Princeton local who leads educational programs on intersectionality in the Jewish community.

The flyer reads: “Hey Linda (((Oppenheim))), instead of inciting anti-White animosity with your lines about so called [sic] ‘White privilege,’ why don’t you discuss the real privilege in America? JEWISH PRIVILEGE.”

The flyer also says: “Although Jews comprise less than 2% of the US population they control the mass media, Hollywood, TV, the Federal Reserve, finance, education, the judiciary, foreign policy, campaign financing etc. 48% of US billionaires according to Forbes are Jewish, an overrepresentation of nearly 2,500%. Not to mention that 70% of the sexual predators in the current scandals are Jewish.”

Obsessive and suffocating, 176 anti-Israel events in a month.

Anti_Israel_events.jpgAt the start of a recent event at the House of Parliament, an MP opened his speech by claiming it was necessary to give the argument of ‘Free Speech on Israel’ – ‘a platform’ because apparently criticism of Israel receives no airtime. The first speaker at the event, even claimed it necessary because their argument is not given ‘any form of platform’ at all.

How wrong they both are. What follows is simply a list of events. I produce it here because I believe few understand the scale of, nor the fallout from, the problem at hand.

Bedeviled by Anti-Israel Boycotters at Duke

Duke_Boycotters.jpgI recently met a couple who told me that their Jewish daughter attends Duke University, which they believe to be a great school for Jewish students. I would be pleased to share their enthusiasm. But in certain pockets of that institution, a serious, faculty-driven, anti-Israel bias exists, often expressed publicly and unreservedly.

Recently, Duke University Press (DUP) published The Right to Maim: Debility, Capacity, Disability, by Jasbir Puar. Elsewhere, I have written about Paur’s modernized brand of blood libel, which often relies on the fog of absurd, self-consciously academic jargon to disseminate anti-Semitism. At least six members of Duke’s Editorial Advisory Board and a number of DUP staff members publicly support initiatives related to the Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) campaign against Israel. As the Anti-Defamation League (ADL) explains, “The predominant drive of the BDS campaign and its leadership is not criticism of policies, but the demonization and delegitimization of Israel.”
