As this reaches you, I will have embarked from Israel on my first day of meetings in Johannesburg, South Africa, in a mission that will lead to PJTN’s planting of our first “international” chapter flag in the global war on anti-Semitism. Our new PJTN team in South Africa will be introduced to you very shortly and I am proud of the caliber and experience that will be representing our message!
To say the mission is groundbreaking is an understatement. I am meeting in Johannesburg with key Christian and Jewish leadership for a luncheon event in which a number of influential pastors, rabbis and community influencers will be on hand. I intend to bring a bridge of peace and unity message to both communities—and more importantly to tap minds and hearts on our mutual desire to fight the war against the hatred of anti-Semitism exploding around the world.
PJTN is grateful for Governor Ron DeSantis’ leadership in signing into law legislation banning anti-Semitism in the Florida education system.
I was honored to have the opportunity to personally thank Governor DeSantis on behalf of all of our PJTN global Watchmen for his leadership in combating anti-Semitism head-on in Florida. The bill was framed as a deterrent measure on Florida college and K-12 campuses to bring lawful consequences against institutions and rogue instructors who openly spew anti-Semitism without being held accountable.
Governor DeSantis’ decision to sign this important legislation comes on the heels of PJTN exposing Pearson Publishers’ anti-Semitic CPALMS curriculum and instructional materials being used in Florida schools. One troubling study on “inference” indirectly implied that IDF soldiers murdered Arabs at a checkpoint in Gaza because they said they were “Palestinians.”
PJTN Founder Laurie Cardoza-Moore conferring with Florida Gov. DeSantis in Israel
Not surprisingly, the expected firestorm of controversy and criticism has arisen. Those opposed to the groundbreaking legislation that could serve as a model to other state legislatures have cited First Amendment violations. This, of course, is another example of the propaganda peddled by the mainstream media.
PJTN CALLS ON FLORIDA DOE TO LAUNCH STATEWIDE EFFORT TO ENSURE CURRICULUM COMPLIES WITH NEW ANTI-SEMITISM LAW
EVANGELICAL LEADER CALLS ON FLORIDA DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION TO ALERT DISTRICTS ACROSS THE STATE TO ENSURE CURRICULUM IN K-12 SCHOOLS IS NOT TEACHING ANTI-SEMITISM
LAURIE CARDOZA-MOORE: “NOW THAT THE SUNSHINE STATE HAS PASSED LEGISLATION DEFINING ANTI-SEMITISM, IT’S TIME TO ENSURE IT’S NOT BEING TAUGHT IN THEIR SCHOOLS, AS IS THE CASE ACROSS MOST OF AMERICA”
NASHVILLE, TENNESSEE (6/11/2019) In light of the legislation Governor DeSantis signed into law last week in Florida to legally define anti-Semitism, Laurie Cardoza-Moore is calling on the Florida Department of Education to mandate school districts across the state to establish a task force to review all curriculum, textbooks and instructional materials to ensure they are in compliance with the new law. Cardoza-Moore, president of Proclaiming Justice to The Nations (PJTN), is host of the award-winning Christian television program Focus On Israel that reaches a weekly global audience of over 2 billion viewers in 200 nations.
“Now that the Sunshine State has passed legislation defining anti-Semitism, it’s time to ensure it’s not being inadvertently taught in their schools, as is the case across America,” said Cardoza-Moore. She personally thanked Governor DeSantis for his leadership at a meeting in Jerusalem last week where the historic legislation was signed into law.
While here in Jerusalem, I had the privilege of being invited to hear a real American hero show the citizens of Israel and the world the true reality of the love and friendship shared by our two countries and our two faiths.
While on a trip to Israel leading a Florida delegation, Governor Ron DeSantis made world headlines as he signed a bill adding anti-Semitism to the categories of discrimination that is henceforth outlawed in Florida – a bill that PJTN has championed and has considered a major mandate. The bill applies to public discourse, as well as public schools, including the state’s public universities – a major blow against the hatred entrenchments of the BDS movement on campuses in Florida.
Governor Ron DeSantis has been a true friend to the mission and message of PJTN. I had the honor of meeting with him in his run for the Governorship of Florida and shared our concerns about the challenges faced by the Jewish communities in Florida. He assured me, if elected, that he would be the most pro-Israel governor in America.
This summer, Florida will be a major focus in our efforts to ensure that its curriculum, textbooks and instructional materials are in compliance with Governor DeSantis’ new law.
LAURIE CARDOZA-MOORE: PJTN FOUNDER AND PRESIDENT ON GLOBAL MISSION TO BRING NEW “FOCUS ON ISRAEL”
(JERUSALEM, ISRAEL) –June 4, 2019—In her global mission to confront anti-Semitism, Laurie Cardoza-Moore will be traveling between the U.S., Israel and South Africa on a fact-finding mission to shed light, new clarity and a hopeful move towards solutions on the global crisis of rising anti-Semitism.
Founder and president of Evangelical Christian pro-Israel advocacy organization Proclaiming Justice to The Nations (PJTN), Cardoza-Moore is known to television audiences around the world as the host of the award-winning Focus On Israel, a weekly docu-style program broadcasting in 200 nations reaching a potential viewing audience of 2 billion viewers worldwide.
Focus On Israel is dedicated to educating viewers on the issues confronting Israel. From the history of the country and the Jews’ covenant with God, to modern times and Israel’s undeniable rights to their ancient homeland, Cardoza-Moore presents a biblical perspective to the issues Israel faces in the face of mounting world opinion and ever-increasing surrounding tensions in the Middle East. The emphasis of educating Christians, Jews and all people of conscience on the biblical mandate to support our Jewish brethren and Israel, also includes a focus on current headline news. From the global rise of anti-Semitism, to the boycott divestment and sanctions movement against Israel, to the increased violence worldwide against Jews, it is time for Christians to condemn this hatred worldwide.
PJTN is under attack!
I am writing to you from Jerusalem to ask you for both your immediate prayers and your support!
We have received news from one of our 21 global media partners, Israel CNN, that our award-winning Focus On Israel program has been removed from the 24/7 Christian Channel in the Netherlands, Family 7.
An indictment has been filed against our Focus On Israel broadcasts, charging, “hate speech, discrimination, xenophobia, and non-political correctness.” The program that brought this spate of hatred was centered around the historical revelation of truth about the existence of the Palestinian state and Israel’s everlasting rights, given by God, to possess the land He has given to them. Not surprisingly, the complaint and attempt to remove our programming message has originated with Dutch Palestinians. It was delivered to Family 7's offices with the assurance that legal action will follow—actions that will affect legal entanglements for both Israel CNN and Family 7 broadcasting of Focus On Israel and ultimately, PJTN.
Last week, I spent several hours reading about the history of the courageous Christians in Denmark who resisted Hitler and his murderous thugs by rescuing 7,000 of its almost 9,000 Jews. At great risk to their own lives and that of their families, they courageously chose instead to draw a line in the sand and protect the “apples of God’s eye” who were among them.
You can only imagine the displeasure I felt upon reading Angela Merkel’s confession this week of the unfortunate admittance of Germany’s dark past awakening once again.
'Is there an escort?' I asked.
'Yes, I've already assigned him a seat.'
'Would you please tell him to come to the Flight Deck. You can board him early," I said.
A short while later a young army sergeant entered the flight deck. He was the image of the perfectly dressed soldier. He introduced himself and I asked him about his soldier.
The escorts of these fallen soldiers talk about them as if they are still alive and still with us. 'My soldier is on his way back to Virginia,' he said. He proceeded to answer my questions, but offered no words.
I asked him if there was anything I could do for him and he said no. I told him that he had the toughest job in the military, and that I appreciated the work that he does for the families of our fallen soldiers. The first officer and I got up out of our seats to shake his hand. He left the Flight Deck to find his seat.
We completed our preflight checks, pushed back and performed an uneventful departure. About 30 minutes into our flight, I received a call from the lead flight attendant in the cabin.
Once again this week, I find I am focused on the attempts to silence the voices that arise in support of Israel!
Most of you have by now heard the devastating news that the Jerusalem television studio of the Daystar network was destroyed this week by an arsonist. Daystar is, of course, a broadcast partner with PJTN in bringing our award-winning Focus On Israel programs and our documentary films around the globe. The Daystar Network has been a tireless champion for Israel in bringing an array of programming, like Focus On Israel to foster Christian support, education and biblical truth about Israel and the Jewish people consistently to viewers around the world. The studio now in ashes overlooked the Mount of Olives and Mount Zion and was established over a decade ago as the base of the first Christian television network in Israel.
Millions of dollars of production equipment, cameras and sets—gone in flames—and with it, no doubt the perpetrator’s hope, the network’s messaging and on-the-ground presence in Israel— would also be gone.
Today, I echo the proclamation of Daystar founder Marcus Lamb in declaring.
“Our voice will not be silenced!”
“… A new generation arose after them that did not know the LORD, nor the deeds that He had performed for Israel.” Judges 2:10
I am growing increasingly alarmed about America, our freedoms of expression as Jews, Christians and all people of conscience, and the threat to the well-being and safety of those with Judeo/Christian values and viewpoints in America at large.
Last week, I mentioned that I would be in New York at Times Square this week for a major rally demanding the removal of Ilhan Omar from Congress. Unfortunately, due to security issues and last minute complications, I was unable to attend. Even more regretful: Attempts were made to shut down the event by both Clear Channel, who owns the Times Square signage and Facebook who hosted a donors page. The organizations who were staging the rally were denied use of the billboard at the 11th hour. The Facebook page was pulled for vague reasons not fully understood, especially since the page was setup according to their standards.
