FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

TENNESSEE STATE SENATOR MARK PODY INTRODUCES A RESOLUTION STATING TENNESSEANS UNEQUIVOCALLY STAND WITH ISRAEL IN HER WAR WITH HAMAS.

(Nashville, TN) – January 10, 2024 – Laurie Cardoza Moore, President of Proclaiming Justice to The Nations, highly commends State Senator Mark Pody for taking immediate action to condemn Hamas, a Muslim Brotherhood front group, for the brutal attacks against innocent men, women and children in Israel.

Tennessee State Senator Mark Pody-R (District 17) opened the 113th General Assembly by introducing a Senate Joint Resolution condemning Hamas terrorists for the “intolerable and despicable” act against our Jewish brethren and Israel, the United States’ greatest friend and ally. Senator Pody continued by reaffirming that “Tennessee is bound closely by historic and cultural ties”.

In the early morning hours of October 7th, 2023, Israel sustained a heinous and unprovoked attack by the barbaric Islamic terrorist Muslim Brotherhood group, Hamas that involved the brutal rape, torture and murder of innocent men, women and children, including many infants.

Hamas is still holding over 120 people hostage in Gaza, including Americans. Sen. Pody is also demanding the immediate release of the hostages. He stated that “it’s outrageous that the world sits by, silent about the innocent men, women and children who are being held without a meaningful outcry. Where is the Red Cross, why the silence from the U.N., where is President Biden? God told Abraham, ‘I will bless those who bless you and curse him who curses you; and all the peoples on earth will be blessed through you’, And here in Tennessee, we want to bless Israel and stand with them.”

Sen. Pody further stated that we [the Tennessee General Assembly] “condemn the usage of the evil phrase ‘from the river to the sea’ by Hamas supporters and Marxist groups here in the United States and Tennessee.” He closed with reaffirming Tennessee’s “sacred duty to defend and promote the safety of all Tennesseans”, including “our Jewish and Israeli brothers and sisters”.

Thank you Sen. Pody for your leadership during this challenging season.
