PRESS RELEASE

PROCLAIMING JUSTICE TO THE NATIONS STRIKES MAJOR VICTORY AGAINST ANTISEMITIC DOCTOR

STATE MEDICAL BOARD OF OHIO PERMANENTLY REVOKES MEDICAL LICENSE OF DR. LARA KOLLAB

(Beachwood, OH)  September 1, 2020 – News this month re-surfaced into national attention on Dr. Lara Kollab who first hit the media spotlight in 2019 while working as an osteopathic resident at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation (CCF). CCF fired her when the hospital learned of her extremely vicious anti-Semitic social media posts that had been researched and preserved by the Canary Mission. Due to action taken by national pro-Israel watchdog organization, Proclaiming Justice to The Nations (PJTN), the Medical Board has now permanently revoked her license to practice medicine in Ohio.

PJTN’s legal counsel, Beachwood, Ohio based attorney Michael Goldstein, who serves as General Counsel and State of Ohio Director of PJTN, made a thorough investigation of Kollab’s posts. In some of them, Dr. Kollab threatened that she would commit physical harm against her Jewish patients, as well as against any of her patients who support Israel. This would include Christian Zionists.

On January 13, 2019, Mr. Goldstein filed a Complaint and Memorandum of Law with the State Medical Board of Ohio (Board) on behalf of PJTN, demanding that the Board take action to revoke permanently Dr. Kollab’s Ohio Training Certificate (DO) which licensed her to practice medicine in the State of Ohio. In his Memorandum filed with the Board, Mr. Goldstein noted that in her tweets Kollab reveals herself to be a virulent anti-Semite, having called for violence against Jews, spread antisemitism, trivialized the Holocaust, defended the designated terror organization Hamas and supported terrorists and that as a doctor she would personally treat her patients so as to cause them harm.

Following its preliminary investigation in a July 10, 2019 notice letter to Dr. Kollab, the Board summarized the anti-Semitic and threatening content of Dr. Kollab’s social media posts. The Board made a preliminary determination that Dr. Kollab’s conduct and omissions constitute a failure to furnish evidence of the good moral character required by Ohio law and that they also constitute “[m]making a false, fraudulent, deceptive, or misleading statement . . . in relation to the practice of . . . osteopathic medicine and surgery . . .],” in violation of Ohio law. In its notice letter to Dr. Kollab, the Board stated that it,

“. . . Intends to determine whether or not to limit, revoke, permanently revoke, suspend, refuse to grant or register or renew or reinstate your training license/certificate to practice osteopathic medicine and surgery, or to reprimand you or place you on probation . . . .”

Kollab waived her right to a hearing before the Board to defend her actions, and on August 12, 2020, she surrendered her license to practice. The Entry of Order posted by the State Medical Board of Ohio sets forth not only the Board’s order that she surrendered her certificate to practice, but also her own signed Permanent Surrender of her consent to permanent revocation of her license. On its website, the Board lists her license status as “Permanent Revocation.”

Noted Laurie Cardoza-Moore, Founder and President of PJTN: “With antisemitism once again dramatically on the rise globally, what happened in Ohio is another case study of PJTN’s commitment to fighting this insidious evil wherever it is found, in this case, in a well-respected medical setting where countless innocent patients may have been harmed by one doctor propelled by hatred for the Jews. We commend Mike Goldstein for his legal insights and persistence to get the medical license of Lara Kollab revoked. A further example that PJTN fights for the rights of the Jewish People and Israel – and it wins.”
