PRESIDENT TRUMP LEADS THE FIGHT AGAINST ANTISEMITISM!

My voice has been among the chorus of Christian and Jewish leadership reaching out to personally thank President Trump for his signing of the Executive Order declaring protection for Jewish students from antisemitism on America’s college and university campuses.

This is a powerful message from the White House that antisemitism in America will not be tolerated in its fervent attempt to seed hatred in this generation of our country’s young future leaders.  The order will limit the provision of federal funding to institutions that fail to uphold the standards presented by the International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance definition of antisemitism.  In short, college and university leadership that allows the fomenting of hatred of Jews on their campuses will be hit where it hurts them most acutely:  in the pocketbook.

How blessed we are to have a leader who correctly understands the impact of the rise of antisemitism, recognizes the necessity of the protection of Jewish students and offers the full force of his office as another proof of support of Israel and the Jewish people.  I echo again from all within the ranks of PJTN in saying, “Thank you, President Trump!”

I consider this a personal victory for PJTN in our ongoing efforts.  We have continually been at the forefront throughout this decade in bringing antisemitism on campus to the forefront of our messaging with America’s leadership—up to and including reaching the White House decision-makers. Thank you, PJTN Watchmen, for the victory your support brought!

State by state with your support in 2020, PJTN will continue to aggressively push the introduction of the Anti Semitism Awareness Act.  The legislation being introduced by PJTN on the state level adopts the U.S. State Department’s definition of antisemitism.  It invokes punishment for antisemitic attacks and incidents within the state in which it is introduced, including those committed on college and university campuses. The failure to rein in these unlawful acts may result in private lawsuits as well as the loss of federal funding.  States enacting this legislation can apply the U.S. State Department’s definition of antisemitism to determine if a federal investigation is warranted due to violations of the 1964 Civil Rights Act.

Why is our mission in 2020 now more important than ever?

As ground-breaking as President Trump’s signature on his Executive Order is, the reality is it can be over-turned with the end of his tenure as President.  We must have permanent laws in place in all 50 states to ensure the battle against antisemitism on campus is permanently won for this generation and generations to come.  We must never again see on-campus organizations like Students For Justice in Palestine and the Muslim Students Association be allowed to go unchecked and unpunished in freely staging violent attacks and intimidation tactics to push Jewish and Christian-Zionists into submission, thus silencing suppressing their right of free speech and diminishing their right to a safe and secure educational environment.

PJTN Watchman—our work has just begun!  We must pick up the challenge President Trump’s heroic stand offers.  We must continue the march forward in 2020!

We cannot do it without you!  Your support is vital as we close out 2019 with matching grant challenges to encourage your best gift.  Will you consider matching our $1,000; $2,500; $5,000 pledges to become apart of the Gideon Band of PJTN Watchmen already committed?

Please as you consider your annual “year-end” check, remember the importance of your financial gift to PJTN and how it is appreciated.

PJTN is closing the year with a victorious report that must echo into the New Year!

Blessings,

Laurie
