A Shavuot message from Laurie

PJTN Wishes you a Memorable Shavuot

You must count until the day after the seventh week - fifty days; then you shall bring an offering of new grain to the L-rd. Leviticus 23:16

As we face such uncertain times in the world, we can rest in the fact that God’s faithfulness is unchangeable. . . .we are reminded by the Jewish festival of Shavuot of His eternal covenant.

On behalf of PJTN's Board of Directors, Advisory Board and our Watchmen around the world, we want to wish our Jewish brethren in Israel and the Diaspora a Chag Sameach (Happy Holiday).

Shavuot is one of the three biblically mandated pilgrimage festivals where the people are commanded to come to Jerusalem in person to celebrate. Not only that, but they also must not arrive empty-handed. The males of the household must bring specific offerings according to the abundance with which God has blessed the family.

So as you can, hopefully, this year gather your loved ones and friends to celebrate this holiday, we join our prayers with yours as the Psalmist prayed,

Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: May they prosper who love you. Peace be within your walls, Prosperity within your palaces. For the sake of my brethren and companions, I will now say, 'Peace be within you.'

Chag Shavuot Sameach,
