Press Release 2.3.17
NEW YORK, NEW YORK (2/3/17) Laurie Cardoza-Moore, Special UN Envoy for the World Council of Independent Christian Churches (WCICC) and President of Proclaiming Justice to The Nations (PJTN) has congratulated the new UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres for taking a stand against the anti-Semitic revisionist history that was advocated and adopted by UNESCO during the previous administration.
Earlier this week, Guterres told a journalist at Israel Public Radio that: “It’s clear as the sun is clear that the Temple, which was demolished by the Romans, is a Jewish temple,” and that: “No one can deny the fact that Jerusalem is holy to three religions today”. This comes just three-and-a-half months after the Oct. 18th vote by the executive board of UNESCO denying all Jewish connections to Jerusalem’s Temple Mount and Western Wall.
Laurie Cardoza-Moore commented: ” We congratulate Secretary-General Antonio Guterres for taking a brave stand against anti-Semitic revisionist history adopted by UNESCO earlier this year. Hopefully his statements are an indication of a bright new future for the United Nations that embraces the shared history of millions of Jews and Christians worldwide instead of denying facts to appease anti-Semitic thugs and bullies.”
Cardoza-Moore continued: “As a Special UN Envoy for the WCICC, which represents over 40 million Christians worldwide, I look forward to working closely with the new Secretary-General to correct the injustices against Jews and Christians that have plagued the United Nations for decades. I stand by my original position on the recent UNESCO decision, which was that Temple-Denial is worse than Holocaust-Denial as it questions the very existence of Jewish history and the Jewish people.”
Cardoza-Moore concluded: “We must no longer allow the forces of global genocidal anti-Semitism to continue to set the agenda at the United Nations. In the words of the Prophet Isaiah: For Zion’s sake I will not keep silent, and for Jerusalem’s sake I will not be quiet, until her righteousness goes forth as brightness, and her salvation as a burning torch.”
Proclaiming Justice to the Nations (PJTN), a 501c3 non-profit organization, was established to educate Christians about their Biblical responsibility to stand with their Jewish brethren and Israel, utilizing powerful film and video presentations, a variety of grassroots rallies, events and speaking engagements to facilitate dialogue between the Christian and Jewish communities in support of the State of Israel and against global genocidal anti-Semitism. In recent months the organization has led the struggle against BDS in America with a wave of state resolutions and the upcoming 2017 release of a new documentary film “BOYCOTT THIS!” that will expose the truth behind the BDS movement.
