The Church of Scotland’s Scandal

Posted on 05/20/2013 | Category: Islam and Christianity

By The Dennis Prager Show | Earlier this month, the Church of Scotland issued a report titled “The Inheritance of Abraham? A Report on the ‘Promised Land.’”  The essence of the report is that according to the Bible, Jews have no more attachment to the land of Israel than anyone else. Hence “promised land” is in quotation marks in the report’s title — because there is no promised land. In the report’s words: “The New Testament contains a radical re-interpretation of the concepts of ‘Israel,’ ‘temple,’ ‘Jerusalem’ and ‘land.’ When the Bible mentions ‘Israel,’ it does not mean Israel; when it says ‘temple,’ the Bible does not mean the Jewish temple; ‘Jerusalem’ does not mean the city of Jerusalem; and ‘land’ does not mean land. “Promises about the land of Israel,” the report continues, “were never intended to be taken literally, or as applying to a defined geographical territory.” Even during the worst excesses of Christian anti-Semitism in the Middle Ages, it is doubtful that any normative Christian body declared that “Israel,” “the temple,” “Jerusalem” and “the land” no longer meant or were ever intended to mean what those words represent. PA daily: “Palestinians [are] Jesus’ descendants”

Posted on 05/20/2013 | Category: Islam and Christianity

By Palestinian Media Watch |   “The Palestinians [are] Jesus’ descendants”and “Jesus’ story is his [Palestinian] people’s story” “Jesus… the virtuous patriotic Palestinian forefather… brought forth his New Testament and spread it among mankind - which led the Jews to persecute him until they caught him, crucified him, and murdered him” “The Zionist movement… wanted to falsify historical facts, to exile and crucify the Palestinian Arab nation and then murder it” by Itamar Marcus and Nan Jacques Zilberdik Having no ancient Palestinian history, the Palestinian Authority has tried for many years to convince its people that they have a history going back many thousands of years, that there was an ancient Palestinian nation, and that one of the great figures of history, Jesus, was their “forefather” and they are “Jesus’ descendants.”  The fact that in Christian tradition Jesus is a Jew from the nation of Judea and that the historical record has no record of a Palestinian Arab people, is not taught by the PA. The PA also ignores the fact that Rome only changed the name of Judea to “Palestine” after the Judean Bar Kochba Rebellion in the year 136, long after the death of Jesus. Furthermore, according to Christian tradition, Jesus did not marry, had no children, and therefore Palestinians could not be “Jesus’ descendants.” Read more…..  ... READ MORE

Jews attacked for praying on Temple Mount

Posted on 05/10/2013 | Category: Featured Headlines

By Israel Today | Five Jewish men were arrested on Wednesday for quietly praying atop Jerusalem’s Temple Mount, an expression of faith that caused the many Muslims around them to explode in fury. Police stationed at the sensitive holy site said a mob of Muslims gathered around the Jewish men, hurling insults and nearly coming to blows before Islamic officials stepped in to restore calm on the condition the Jewish worshipers be arrested. Jews and Christians are forbidden to pray atop the Temple Mount for fear of upsetting the Muslims that currently control the complex. A day earlier, Israeli police at the Temple Mount arrested Jerusalem Mufti Sheikh Muhammed Hussein on suspicion he had riled up a mob of Muslims who attacked and wounded two officers. Read more….. Obama Pushes Funds for Islamists —- Trashes Their Christian Victims

Posted on 05/10/2013 | Category: Featured Headlines

By Front Page Mag | The “Islamist apologist choir” described in Cinnamon Stillwell’s recent story “Profs on Boston Bombing” doesn’t sing solely on behalf of Chechnya and Cambridge. Some of that choir’s most dreadful caterwauling today is in support of Nigeria’s yet-undesignated terrorists, Boko Haram. The choir stalls are located in the U.S. State Department, which not only refuses to designate the jihadists as a Foreign Terrorist Organization (FTO), but maligns and defames Boko Haram’s Christian victims, as well. Boko Haram’s latest attack, killing at least 42, took place on Tuesday, May 7, in the already battle-worn town of Bama, in Nigeria’s northeast Borno State. Borno, one of 12 states under Sharia, has suffered heavy losses under the Islamists. Some believe that Boko Haram has taken over northern Borno State much as Islamists took over northern Mali. At least 277 had been killed by Boko Haram in Borno State in 2013 before this attack.  According to an AP story the Tuesday event involved “coordinated attacks by Islamic extremists armed with heavy machine guns” in multiple locations around Bama. The jihadists also raided a federal prison, freeing 105 inmates.  Read more….. PJTN stands with the Jewish State of Israel as a culture of life.Join PJTN in our stand with—and for—Israel… READ MORE

Egyptian Newspaper Features Two Blood Libel Articles in a Single Day

Posted on 05/02/2013 | Category: Egypt

By Algemeiner | An Egyptian newspaper featured two articles on Tuesday that promote the libel that Jews drink Christian – and Muslim – blood on Passover. Anonymous blogger Elder of Ziyon spotted the articles in Egypt’s Misrelgdida (“New Egypt”) newspaper. The first is an article by a Palestinian Arab, Mennat al-Sayed, in which he gives a “history” of Passover blood rituals that, he claims, continues, at least in some form, to this day against Arabs. Death to Churches Under Islam A Study of the Coptic Church

Posted on 04/29/2013 | Category: Islam and Christianity

By Middle East Forum | Christians throughout the Islamic world are under attack. Unlike Muslim attacks on Christians, which are regularly confused with a myriad of social factors, the ongoing attacks on Christian churches in the Muslim world are perhaps the most visible expression of Christian persecution under Islam. In churches, Christians throughout the Islamic world are simply being Christians—peacefully and apolitically worshipping their God. And yet modern day Muslim governments try to prevent them, Muslim mobs attack them, and Muslim jihadis massacre them. To understand the nature of this perennial hostility, one must first examine Muslim doctrines concerning Christian churches; then look at how these teachings have manifested themselves in reality over the course of centuries; and finally look at how modern day attacks on Christian churches mirror the attacks of history, often in identical patterns. The continuity is undeniable. Read more……   PJTN stands with the Jewish State of Israel as a culture of life.Join PJTN in our stand with—and for—Israel… READ MORE

For Christians, Spring Begins with Persecution

Posted on 04/23/2013 | Category: Egypt

By Front Page Mag | Reports of Christian persecution by Muslims around the world during the month of February include (but are not limited to) the following accounts.  They are listed by form of persecution, and in country alphabetical order, not necessarily according to severity: Church Attacks Egypt: Once again, soon after Friday prayers, a throng of Muslims in Fayoum province, destroyed a Coptic church. The reason cited this time was that the church is “an unlawful neighbor to the Muslims who live adjacent to it and must therefore be moved.”  According to AINA, “The mob climbed to the church dome and started demolishing it and setting it on fire. The dome collapsed into the burning church and caused great damage. Muslims used bricks from the dome and the holy cross and hurled it at the altar inside the church, causing part of it to be demolished; all the icons of saints were destroyed. Muslims tried to assault Father Domadios and threw stones at him, but he was saved by a Muslim family who brought him away from the village in their car.”  Local Christian families were reported as staying indoors for fear of being assaulted by the Muslims. And, once again, although state security was present throughout this entire proceeding, it did nothing to prevent it.... READ MORE

‘LIBERAL BULL****’: BILL MAHER CALLS OUT PROF. CLAIMING ALL RELIGIONS ARE EQUALLY VIOLENT

Posted on 04/23/2013 | Category: Islam and Christianity

By The Blaze | HBO host Bill Maher tangled with Brian Levin, the director of the Center for the Study of Hate & Extremism at California State University in San Bernardino on “Real Time” Friday night, arguing that in this day and age, Islam is more dangerous than other religions. The liberal host went so far that his guest actually accused him of promoting Islamophobia and “Islamic hatred.” Maher argued: “I mean, there’s only one faith, for example, that kills you or wants to kill you if you draw a bad cartoon of the prophet.  There’s only one faith that kills you or wants to kill you if you renounce the faith.  An ex-Muslim is a very dangerous thing.  Talk to Salman Rushdie after the show about Christian versus Islam…So, you know, I’m just saying, let’s keep it real.” Maher proceeded to ask whether it would be possible to produce a play called “The Book of Islam” ridiculing the religion in the same way “The Book of Mormon” did with the Mormon faith. Persecuted on All Sides: Christians in the Modern World

Posted on 04/11/2013 | Category: Islam and Christianity

By Front Page Mag | “I thank God for the book you are now holding,” scholar Eric Metaxas writes in the foreward of Persecuted:  The Global Assault on Christians by Hudson Institute religious freedom scholars Lela Gilbert, Paul Marshall, and Nina Shea. As Metaxas elaborates, Persecuted “focuses on a scandalously underreported fact, that Christians are the single most widely persecuted religious group in the world today,” a “terrible trend…on the upswing.” The authors chronicle in detailed fashion all manner of religious repression against Christians, such as laws inhibiting conversion to Christianity, state destruction of unapproved churches, torture of Christian dissidents, and often socially sanctioned vigilante violence.  Among other countries, the authors focus on Marxist-legacy regimes such as China, Hindu and Buddhist hostility in South Asia, and majority-Muslim nations.  The authors stress, however, that “it is in the Muslim world where persecution of Christians is now most widespread, intense, and, ominously, increasing.” With other religious communities facing persecution along with Christians, Philadelphia Catholic Archbishop Charles J. Chaput concludes in the afterword that there is a “global crisis in religious liberty.” Read more…… PJTN stands with the Jewish State of Israel as a culture of life.Join PJTN in our stand with—and for—Israel… READ MORE
