Presbyterian Church Uses Islamists for Interfaith Study

By Front Page Mag | The Presbyterian Church (USA) is updating its 2010 study, ““Toward an Understanding of Christian-Muslim Relations,” which was prompted by “alarming anti-Muslim statements and actions.” The 2-million member church partnered with Islamist groups for the project and its website promotes U.S. Muslim Brotherhood entities as interfaith partners. The listed advisors for the study include Naeem Baig, president of the Islamic Circle of North America (ICNA) and Farhanahz Eliz of the All Dulles Area Muslim Society (ADAMS) Center, a mosque led by the president of the Islamic Society of North America (ISNA). A1991 U.S. Muslim Brotherhood memo lists ISNA and ICNA among “our organizations and the organizations of our friends.” ISNA was labeled by the government as an unindicted co-conspirator in the Holy Land Foundation trial and U.S. Muslim Brotherhood entity. Denouncing Jihad Is ‘Hate Speech’?

By Front Page Mag | Responding to controversial New York subway ads denouncing “jihad,” the United Methodist Women’s organization is placing counter ads against “hate speech.” The ad from the American Freedom Defense Initiative declares: “In any war between the civilized man and the savage, support the civilized man. Support Israel. Defeat Jihad.” Its organizer, Pamela Geller, insists the ad targets violent extreme Islamists, not Muslims. The critics insist it’s an attack on Islam. Dear PJTN Friends: Last week, many of you heard the news coming out of our capital that Congressman Michele Bachmann was condemned by the Republican leadership for calling for an investigation into the possible infiltration of the Muslim Brotherhood into the Federal government. Her request was made in an attempt to understand the administration’s policies in the Middle East and why they are empowering the Muslim Brotherhood and it’s front groups. According to a recent article by Caroline Glick, Congressman Bachmann and her colleagues wanted to know: 1 – why the White House and Secretary of State Clinton refused to meet with Christian leaders in the Middle East and 2- what is the level of influence the Muslim Brotherhood and their front groups have in the Obama Administration. Senator McCain and Congressman Boehner called for Bachmann to apologize for her request or risk losing her appointment on the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence. Because of Congressman Bachmann’s position on this committee, she is privy to information that most of us are not aware of. B y Front Page Mag | The Roman Catholic Church hailed UNESCO’s decision to grant the world heritage status to the Church of the Nativity in Bethlehem. According to the Vatican authorities, the UN decision is a “diplomatic victory” for the Palestinian Authority. Last Friday, the United Nations approved the Palestinian bid to place Jesus’ birthplace on its list of sites of World Heritage in danger. For Zion’s sake I will not keep silent….. Isaiah 62:1 The United States and Israel are facing the defining issue of our time, the infiltration of radical Islam in our communities. This religion, if adhered to, will subjugate women, take away our free speech and will have no regard for human rights, especially among Christians and Jews. Many of you may have already seen the barbaric video of the Tunisian man who was slaughtered like an animal for the crime of converting from Islam to Christianity. In France, not even three months after the slaughter of a Rabbi and three children at a Jewish school in Toulouse by a Muslim, three more Jewish students were attacked, again by a group of Muslims. And even closer to home, in Murfreesboro, Tenn., the citizens of this modest community are mobilizing to take action to stop the construction of a 53,000 sq.ft. facility whose board members have ties to Hamas and the Muslim Brotherhood. Chiesa cleared the NYPD of misconduct in its intelligence-gathering efforts in N.J., he met with some Muslim leaders to discuss his findings. The full list of attendees hasn’t been publicized but there is one name that is known: Imam Mohammad Qatanani of the Islamic Center of Passaic County. N.J. Governor Chris Christie (shown right) has been feeling heat from anti-Islamist activists ever since the Investigative Project on Terrorism published a startling report about his relationship with Imam Qatanani, who the Department of Homeland Security wants deported. In 1999, he failed to disclose on his green card application that he was convicted by Israel in 1993 of being a member of Hamas. He also admits to having been a member of the Muslim Brotherhood but says he left it in 1991—not because he turned against the group, but because he simply didn’t have enough time in the day anymore. The mosque that Qatanani currently leads, the Islamic Center of Passaic County (ICPC), was founded in 1989 by Hamas operative Mohammed el-Mezain, who has been sentenced to 15 years in prison for financing the terrorist group. The incident is rare and could stir religious tensions in Jordan, a predominantly conservative Muslim nation whose Western-educated ruler — King Abdullah II — is perceived as a staunch supporter of moderate Islam and tolerance of other religions. “We are not in Iran, we are in Jordan, and we must continue to enjoy personal and religious freedoms as stipulated by our constitution,” said Vivian Salameh, 45, an assistant manager of corporate operations at the Jordan Dubai Islamic Bank since March 2010 until she was fired a week ago. “I’m Christian. Why should I wear something not dictated by my religion?” she said in an interview. by Hirsham Jarallah | A few weeks ago, veteran CBS News correspondent Bob Simon reported on the plight of Christians of the Holy Land who have been leaving the region for many years. In large part, Simon blamed the Christian exodus on Israel. But had Simon visited the Christian village of Taybeh in the West Bank, he would have heard “the other side to the story.” This is a village whose population is 100% Christian. It is surrounded by a number of Muslim villages, some of which are extremely hostile. The number of Christians living in Taybeh is estimated at less than 2,000. Residents say that another 15,000 Taybeh villagers live in the US, Canada and Europe, as well as South America. Over the past few years, the Christian residents of Taybeh have been living in constant fear of being attacked by their Muslim neighbors. by Michael Curtis | The time is now long overdue to recognize that Adolf Hitler’s contribution to political wisdom — the Big Lie – has reappeared in the Palestinian narrative of the state of Israel as an “apartheid state.” “[T]he broad masses of a nation,” Hitler wrote in Mein Kampf, “will more readily fall victim to the big lie than to the small lie.” The constant repetition of the Big Lie, he explained, made it acceptable, especially when it could be manipulated to appear to have a certain credibility. The world is all too familiar with the success of Hitler’s Big Lie narrative that the Jews were internationally powerful, responsible for World War I – and, in his view – for most of the problems of the world. This new Big Lie about Israel being an “apartheid state” that has been trumpeted by the Palestinian narrative of Middle Eastern history and politics has, in recent years, been accepted not only been accepted by “the broad masses,” but also by more educated and supposedly politically sophisticated individuals in the media, the churches, and academia.
