In her new role, Ms. Cardoza-Moore will serve in the role as the WCICC Special Non-Governmental Representative to the Economic and Social Council of the United Nations. Her area of major focus will be Jewish/Christian Relations to Israel and Human Rights.
The WCICC, with 44 million congregants, was approved in 1996 as an accredited Non-Government Organization (NGO) with Consultative Status in the Special Category. In announcing Ms. Cardoza-Moore’s appointment. Dr. Lupoli noted:
“In my search for a person that understands the principles of the Abrahamic Covenant and their ability to steer our churches to stand on these principles, I know of no stronger person than Laurie Cardoza-Moore of Proclaiming Justice to the Nations. Through the joint partnership of Proclaiming Justice to The Nations with the World Council of Independent Christian Churches, we shall work earnestly for the cause of the people in the Biblical Holy Land. WCICC and PJTN are vocal supporters of Israel and her rights to exist as a Biblically defined nation.”
In acknowledging her appointment, Ms. Cardoza Moore underscored her dedicated commitment to the ongoing support of Israel:
“I am humbled by this opportunity to meet with leaders of UN Member nations and to give voice to over 44 million Christian’s around the globe on Israel’s behalf,” said Cardoza-Moore. “It will provide a broader opportunity to educate Christians in nations around the world of their biblical responsibility to Israel. We will encourage them to stand against the constant and blatantly anti-Jewish and anti-Christian crusade of hatred, persecution, terrorism, and murder currently conducted through official and unofficial forums throughout the world.
We will further ask that they stand with Jews and Christians in defense of Israel, because Israel is the first line of defense for freedom and democracy.”
As an integral part of her new role, Ms. Cardoza Moore will offer a significant onsite presence for Israel beginning with the current UN sessions in New York.
“We recognize that the UN represents the second line of defense for freedom for people in Western democracies,” notes Cardoza-Moore. “The voting rights and the rule of law alone are insufficient to have real freedom. The cornerstone of freedom is human rights that can only be defined as equal standing in the eyes of the law for all of a country’s citizens.”
Since its founding in 2005, under the leadership of Laurie Cardoza-Moore, Proclaiming Justice To The Nations (PJTN) has become a leading national and international organizational media force for pro Israel agenda. PJTN’s production and distribution of award winning media films such as Lest We Forget and the Emmy Award nominated, Telly Award winning The Forgotten People, Christianity and the Holocaust have reached audiences worldwide.
Now increasingly in demand as a pro Israel media voice and speaker, Cardoza-Moore has succeeded over the past six years not only in having PJTN’s films being broadcast to hundreds of millions of people in 214 countries around the globe, but in carrying increasingly wider the organization’s founding mandate of educating Christians and non-Christians alike on the inherent biblical responsibility to know and act against hatred of Jews and Israel.
On the national scale, PJTN is in the sixth year of presenting the International Christian Prayer and Action Event for Israel at the National Religious Broadcasters Convention-next being held in Nashville in February 2012.
